Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 9

Chelsea’s Eden Hazard was the highest point scorer in Gameweek 8, grabbing a brace and assist during Chelsea’s 4-1 victory over Cardiff.

Elsewhere Mesut Ozil continued his fine run of form at Arsenal with two goals at the Emirates Stadium and Bryan Ruiz grabbed a hat-trick of assists as Fulham put four goals past Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage.

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 9, as Chelsea host Manchester City.

Captain Choices

Mesut Ozil (ARS)

Arsenal’s record signing bagged his first Premier League goals last weekend, as the Gunners defeated Norwich at the Emirates Stadium.

No player has made more assists than Mesut Ozil this season, with the Germany international looking an increasingly important part of Arsene Wenger’s table-topping side.

Opponents Crystal Palace have failed to record a shut out in the Premier League all season and the managerless Eagles will have to pay close attention to the £42.7 million signing.

Luis Suarez (LIV)

The Premier League’s most in-form player had a hand in both goals last weekend, as early pace-setters Liverpool dropped points at St James Park.

Suarez has returned three goals, two assists and five bonus points since his 10-game ban ended in Gameweek 5 and the Uruguay international will be keen to catch-up for lost time after missing the opening five games of the season.

Opponents West Brom completed the double over Liverpool last year, but the reunited partnership with Daniel Sturridge should continue to prove fruitful at Anfield on Saturday.

Transfer Tips

Adam Lallana (SOU) – £6.2m

Adam Lallana’s late equaliser at Old Trafford on Saturday rescued a deserved point for Southampton, as the Saints fine start to the season continued.

The English midfielder has targeted an international call up for Roy Hodgson’s side in the near future and with the Three Lions playing a host of friendly matches next month, Lallana may seek to impress over the next few weeks.

Opponents Fulham have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven games in the Premier League and Southampton’s attacking midfielder will be bidding to score his third goal in as many games on Saturday.

Michael Dawson (TOT) – £5.2m

Michael Dawson picked up his fifth clean sheet of the season as Tottenham came away with a 2-0 victory at Villa Park.

Dawson is yet to miss a minute of football for Spurs this season and with England internationals on the horizon, the former Nottingham Forest defender will be eager to impress this weekend.

Opponents Hull failed to score against Chelsea and Manchester City away from home this season and a similar shut out looks likely away at Spurs this weekend.
