Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 7
Everton’s Romelu Lukaku was the highest point scorer in Gameweek 6, as his two goals helped the Toffees increase their unbeaten start to the season.
Elsewhere Aaron Ramsey scored his fourth goal in three matches as Arsenal won away at the Liberty Stadium and Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez were both on the scoresheet as Liverpool beat managerless Sunderland.
Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 7, as Tottenham host Chelsea.
Captain Choices
Daniel Sturridge (LIV)
Daniel Sturridge was on target for the fifth game of the season last weekend, as Liverpool emerged victorious at the Stadium of Light.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers labelled his forward pairing as ‘as good as any’ in the league and the work in training of the duo appears to indicate that Rodgers and the coaching staff see Sturridge working in tandem with the now available Luis Suarez.
Opponents Crystal Palace have yet to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League this season and Liverpool’s in-form striker looks set to be amongst the goals again this weekend.
Wayne Rooney (MUN)
Wayne Rooney’s form has been one of the few bright sparks for Manchester United this season, with the Premier League champions making their worst start in 24 years.
The England international has scored in each of his last three games in the Premier League, with the forward having earned more bonus points than any other player for the Red Devils.
Opponents Sunderland have conceded more goals than any other team in the league and Manchester United’s lacklustre start to the season will need to be addressed if David Moyes’ side are to avoid any more slip ups this season.
Yaya Toure (MCI)
Yaya Toure’s opening volley against Aston Villa on Saturday was not enough for the Citizens to earn all three points, as Manuel Pellegrini’s side lost their second match of the season.
The Manchester City midfielder has scored three goals in his last four games in the Premier League, with the Ivory Coast international well on course to surpass his goal tally of six goals last season.
Opponents Everton remain the only unbeaten side in the Premiership this season, but conceding two goals in each of their last two games, suggests Roberto Martinez’s side may fail to keep a clean sheet this weekend.
Transfer Tips
Robbie Brady (HUL) – £5.3m
Robbie Brady’s controversial penalty at Upton Park proved enough for newly-promoted Hull to pick up their third win of the season, as the Tigers Premier League campaign began in encouraging fashion.
Highlighted in our fantasy football midfielders piece prior to the season kicking-off, Brady has gone on to prove decisive for Hull, scoring in every one of their league wins this term.
Opponents Aston Villa still look unable to record shut-outs and the Tigers in-form wide man could prove key for Steve Bruce’s side again this weekend.
Aaron Ramsey (ARS) – £6.4m
Aaron Ramsey’s fourth goal of the season lifted the Gunners to the top of the Premier League table, following a 2-1 victory over Swansea.
Tipped in last weekend’s transfers section, Ramsey has seen his price rise by £0.9m this season as managers clamour to transfer in the Wales international.
Opponents West Brom have picked up wins in their last two outings, but Arsenal’s in-form midfielder will be the main danger this weekend.
