Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 4

Swansea City’s Ben Davies was the highest points scorer in Gameweek 3, after a match-winning display in Swansea’s 2-0 victory at the Hawthorns.

Elsewhere Liverpool’s Daniel Agger helped Liverpool to their third consecutive clean sheet of the season as the Reds beat Manchester United and Manchester City’s Pablo Zabaleta claimed an assist during the Citizen’s 2-0 victory over Hull.

Budget option Nathan Redmond again impressed for Norwich, whilst forgotten midfield options Yaya Toure and Hatem Ben Arfa both chipped in with impressive contributions for their clubs.

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 4, as Everton host Chelsea.

Captain Choices

Christian Benteke (AVL)

Three goals from three games has left Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke as the joint-top goalscorer in the Premier League and the burgeoning talent will be eager to continue his fine goalscoring form against Newcastle on Saturday.

Paul Lambert’s persuasion in getting the Belgium international to pen a new deal at VIlla Park, looks an increasingly crucial bit of business for Aston Villa, with the striker having taken just eight shots to score his three goals this term.

Opponents Newcastle conceded four goals in their only away match away this season and the Aston Villa striker will once again be the favourite to score for the Midland’s club, after finding the net in this fixture last season.

Robin Van Persie (MUN)

Manchester United’s Robin Van Persie drew a blank for the second game in a row, but the Netherlands international’s brace on the opening day of the season, still leaves last year’s Premier League Golden Boot winner with two goals from three matches.

Visitors Crystal Palace have so far failed to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League this season and the Eagles only trip away from Selhurst Park this campaign even saw shot-shy Stoke City score twice.

No forward has made more attempts on goal or inside the box than Manchester United’s Robin Van Persie this season and David Moyes’ self-proclaimed number one striker will be keen to help his side return to winning ways against Crystal Palace in the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday.

Olivier Giroud (ARS)

Arsenal’s much-maligned striker has been transferred in more times than any other player during this round, with the France international having scored in every Premier League match so far.

Giroud has made more attempts on goal (13) than any other striker and the arrival of Mesut Ozil looks set to increase Giroud’s projected fantasy football return in the Premier League this season.

Opponents Sunderland have yet to keep a clean sheet in the league this season and Arsenal’s in-form striker could capitalise on Paolo Di Canio’s reforming side.

Transfer Tips

Marouane Fellaini (MUN) – £8.5m

Manchester United’s deadline day arrival will be eager to prove his worth at Old Trafford, with the £27 million signing expected to go straight into David Moyes’ starting line-up.

The Belgium international scored 11 goals and made seven assists for the Toffees last term and a similar return for the Red Devils could see the intimidating midfielder become a popular figure for the Premier League champions.

Opponents Crystal Palace visit Old Trafford with the joint-worst defensive record in the Premier League and Fellaini will look to impose himself in the opposition penalty area on Saturday.

Roberto Soldado (TOT) – £9.7m

Two goals from three games has been the return of Roberto Soldado in the Premier League so far for Spurs, but Tottenham’s £26 million summer signing has still yet to score from open play.

Soldado managed to fire in an impressive 24 goals for Valencia in La Liga last year and Andre Villas-Boas’ number one striking option looks capable of breaking the 15-goal barrier for Spurs this season.

Opponents Norwich have yet to keep a clean sheet away from home in the Premier League and Soldado will be looking to ensure Spurs bounce back from their derby defeat to Arsenal last time out.
