Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 38
Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko was the highest point scorer in Gameweek 37, after grabbing two goals against both Everton and Aston Villa.
Elsewhere the Sunderland backline of Vito Mannone, Marcos Alonso, John O’Shea, Wes Brown and Santiago Vergini picked up two successive clean sheets as the Black Cats secured their Premier League safety and debutant James Wilson scored twice as Manchester United beat Hull.
Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 38, as Manchester City host West Ham.
Captain Choices
Edin Dzeko (MCI)
Edin Dzeko will be looking to continue his recent run of form for the Citizens, with West Ham the visitors to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Sergio Aguero’s injury has left Dzeko starting each of Manchester City’s last five games in the Premier League, with the Bosnian striker going on to score five goals as Manuel Pellegrini’s side close in on the title.
Opponents West Ham have kept just one clean sheet in their last 11 matches in the Premiership and with the hosts needing just a point to secure the title, expect Dzeko to continue his fine goalscoring run to wrap up the league for Manchester City.
Luis Suarez (LIV)
Luis Suarez scored his 31st goal of the season, as Liverpool threw away a 3-0 lead at Selhurst Park to all but blow their chances of a first ever Premier League crown.
The Golden Boot winner was left in tears at the final whistle, but the striker will be looking to sign-off his club campaign in style with the Reds still in with a chance of lifting the trophy.
Suarez has form against Newcastle after picking up two assists in the reverse fixture at St James’ Park and with the Magpies having only managing to keep one clean sheet in any of their last 10 games, expect Suarez star as the Reds attempt to once again outgun the opposition.
Transfer Tips
Yaya Toure (MCI) – £10.5m
Yaya Toure struck a goal in injury time, as Manchester City took a giant stride towards their second Premier League title in three years following a 4-0 win against Aston Villa.
The Ivory Coast international becomes one of only two midfielders to have scored 20 goals in a Premier League season and another relentless display remains a possibility, with Toure having played a huge part in Manuel Pellegrini’s title-run.
Opponents West Ham have conceded at least three goals in each of their last three meetings with Manchester City and the Citizens dominating midfielder will look to produce another dominating display for the likely winners of this season’s Premier League.
Santi Cazorla (ARS) – £9.3m
Santi Cazorla picked up his fourth consecutive assist in the Premier League, as Arsenal secured a narrow 1-0 win over West Brom.
The Spanish midfielder has fallen eight goals short of his tally last year, but the Gunners midfield maestro could pick up an FA Cup winners medal next weekend.
Opponents Norwich are all but consigned to relegation and after a below-par performance against the Baggies last weekend, Arsene Wenger’s side will be looking for a confidence boosting victory on Sunday.
