Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 25

West Ham’s Kevin Nolan was the highest point scorer in Gameweek 24, after scoring both goals in the Hammers 2-0 victory over Swansea.

Elsewhere Branislav Ivanovic grabbed the only goal of the game as Chelsea beat Manchester City and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain made a scoring return on his first start from injury, as Arsenal won 2-0 against Crystal Palace.

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 25, as Liverpool host Arsenal.

Captain Choices

Robin van Persie (MUN)

Robin van Persie scored for the second gameweek in a row since returning from injury, as Manchester United slipped to a 2-1 defeat at the Britannia Stadium.

The Dutch international has been eased back into the first-team by David Moyes, but the club’s perilous league position should see last season’s Premier League top goalscorer start again for the third time in as many weeks.

Van Persie was on target in the reverse fixture with Fulham back in November and the increased gametime with playmaker Juan Mata recently should lead to an even better relationship between the two players.

Opponents Fulham have the worst defensive record in the Premier League and Manchester United’s newly returned striker looks poised to score for the third game in a row on Sunday, as the Red Devils look to avoid any more slip-ups in the league.

Luis Suarez (LIV)

Liverpool’s Luis Suarez turned provider in Gameweek 24, as the Uruguayan striker’s cross helped Daniel Sturridge score the opening goal of the game at the Hawthorns.

Suarez remains eight-goals clear of Sergio Aguero in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot and with 16 of Suarez’s 23 goals having come at Anfield this term, the Reds will be confident that the striker can fire Liverpool in front of their title chasing opponents on Saturday.

Despite having the meanest defence in the Premier League, Arsenal have kept just three clean sheets away from the Emirates Stadium all season and with Liverpool’s hold on fourth place beginning to lose it’s grip, Suarez will have to ensure he is on top of his game this weekend.

Transfer Tips

Adam Johnson (SUN) – £7.0m

Highlighted in our latest fantasy football tips, Adam Johnson continued his fine form for Sunderland by netting in the Tyne and Wear derby on Sunday.

Heavily linked with an England call-up, Johnson has scored in each of Sunderland’s last four games in the Premier League and a further strike this weekend could move Gus Poyet’s resurgent side towards the brink of the top half of the table.

Opponents Hull have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last five games in the Premier League and Sunderland’s in-form winger looks likely to continue his claim for a place in Roy Hodgson’s England squad.

Edin Dzeko (MCI) – £7.1m

Edin Dzeko failed to score for the first time in four games, as Chelsea dealt Manchester City a crushing blow to their title chances on Monday.

Sergio Aguero’s hamstring injury has paved the opportunity for the Bosnian striker to stake a claim in the Citizens starting line-up, but Stevan Jovetic’s availability does leave an element of uncertainty of Dzeko’s selection over the next month.

Opponents Norwich have managed to keep clean sheets in their last two games at Carrow Road, but Manuel Pellegrini’s attack-minded side will be eager to bounce back with a win on Saturday this weekend.

Adam Lallana (SOU) – £7.8m

Adam Lallana took his tally to seven goals for the season, as Southampton beat struggling Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The England international has scored in three of the Saints last four games at St Mary’s Stadium and another strike this weekend would put the midfielder firmly in the thoughts of England coach Roy Hodgson.

Opponents Stoke have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last four games away from the Britannia Stadium and Southampton’s key midfielder is likely to enjoy another game on the south coast.
