Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 17, as Arsenal host Chelsea.
Captain Choices
Luis Suarez (LIV)
Another breathtaking display from Luis Suarez saw Liverpool run out 5-0 winners against Tottenham last weekend, as the striker maintained his incredible record of both scoring and assisting in five of his last six games in the Premier League.
The Uruguayan striker has scored 16 goals in just 11 appearances for Liverpool this season and news that the club have persuaded the player to sign a long-term contract could prove vital for the Reds ambitions and success going forward.
Opponents Cardiff have managed just two clean sheets in their last six games in the league and the Premiership’s most in-form player could celebrate his commitment to the club in some style on Saturday.
Wayne Rooney (MUN)
Wayne Rooney picked up his eighth assist of the season, as Manchester United picked up a vital win at Villa Park.
Rooney’s last seven appearances in the Premier League have produced five goals, five assists and 12 bonus points, but a groin injury sustained last week has left the player in some doubt as to whether he will face West Ham this weekend.
Opponents West Ham have managed just two clean sheets in their last six games in the Premiership and Rooney could once again prove to be Manchester United’s main protagonist this weekend.
Transfer Tips
Gary Hooper (NOR) – £6.1m
Gary Hooper’s 25-yard volley earned Norwich a point to deny Swansea a first Premier League win over the Canaries.
The English striker has now scored four goals in his last six appearances for the club, form that has coincided with Norwich’s resurgence away from the foot of the table.
Opponents Sunderland have kept just one clean sheet at home all season and Norwich’s summer signing could grab his side another crucial goal this weekend.
Romelu Lukaku (EVE) – £8.7m
Romelu Lukaku picked up his third assist in as many games, as Everton comfortably beat Fulham at Goodison Park.
The Belgium international has now either scored or assisted in each of his last five games for the club, form that will add further weight to claims that the 20-year old striker is ready to play at Stamford Bridge.
Opponents Swansea have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven games and Everton’s on-loan striker looks set to carry on his form for Roberto Martinez’s increasingly polished side.
