Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 16

Liverpool’s Luis Suarez was the highest point scorer in Gameweek 15, after scoring a bullet header during Liverpool’s 4-1 victory over struggling West Ham.

Elsewhere Andre Schurrle’s brace was not enough for Chelsea who slumped to a 3-2 defeat at Stoke, whilst Marouane Chamakh scored his second goal in as many weeks to maintain the Eagles resurgence under new boss Tony Pulis.

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 16, as Manchester Cityl host Arsenal.

Captain Choices

Wayne Rooney (MUN)

Wayne Rooney’s absence last weekend proved costly, as Manchester United slumped to their second consecutive defeat at Old Trafford.

Rooney’s last six appearances in the Premier League have produced five goals, four assists and 12 bonus points and the England international looks set to maintain his presence in David Moyes’ side following Robin Van Persie’s month-long injury lay-off.

Opponents Aston Villa have won just two of their opening seven games at home this term and Rooney’s return looks timely for the Red Devils who have failed to win any of their last four games in the Premiership.

Eden Hazard (CHE)

Eden Hazard was unable to exert his influence last weekend, as Chelsea slumped to a surprise defeat at Stoke.

The agile midfielder has started in all but one of Chelsea’s matches in the Premier League this season and despite Jose Mourinho’s continued rotation up-front, Hazard is likely to again be named in the starting eleven on Saturday.

Opponents Crystal Palace have failed to keep a clean sheet in all but one of their seven games away from home this season and Chelsea’s most in-form player looks the main danger for Tony Pulis’ resurgent side this weekend.

Romelu Lukaku (EVE)

Romelu Lukaku’s assist for Gerard Deulofeu‘s goal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, left the Belgian striker with either a goal or assist in each of his last four appearances in the Premier League.

The Everton striker’s tally of eight goals in just 11 appearances for the Toffees will add further weight that the 20-year old  is ready for Chelsea’s first-team having been unceremoniously loaned out.

Opponents Fulham have conceded at least two goals in their last three away games in the Premier League and despite a more optimistic approach under new boss Rene Meleunsteen, the Cottagers appear unlikely to contain Lukaku on Saturday.

Transfer Tips

Leroy Fer (NOR) – £5.9m

Leroy Fer helped Norwich secure all three points away from home for only the second time this season, as the Canaries beat the Baggies at the Hawthorns.

Fer’s precise through ball allowed striker Gary Hooper to notch his fifth goal of the season, whilst the Dutch midfielder grabbed a late goal on the break to score his third goal in his last five appearances in the Premier League.

Opponents Swansea have kept just one clean sheet in their last six games in the league and the midfield powerhouse will be hopeful of continuing his recent run of form against Michael Laudrup’s out-of-sorts side on Saturday.

Seamus Coleman (EVE) – £6.0m

Everton failed to keep a clean sheet for only the second time in the last seven games, as the Toffees secured a highly entertaining point against Arsenal.

Coleman has yet to miss a minute of football for Roberto Martinez’s side this season and the Toffees upcoming fixtures are likely to have a beneficial impact on the defender’s fantasy tally come the end of the year.

Opponents Fulham have failed to score in five of their last six matches away from home and Everton will be confident of recording their ninth shut-out this season.
