Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 14

Manchester City’s Samir Nasri was the highest point scorer in Gameweek 13, notching twice in the Citizens 3-0 victory over Swansea on Sunday.

Elsewhere Aaron Ramsey continued his fine form this season with a brace during Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Cardiff and Wayne Rooney rescued a point for champions Manchester United at White Hart Lane.

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 14, as Manchester United host Everton.

Captain Choices

Luis Suarez (LIV)

Luis Suarez was unable to dig Liverpool out of trouble on Sunday, as the Reds suffered a shock defeat against Hull.

Daniel Sturridge’s prolonged absence could see Liverpool’s attacking verve suffer, but Philippe Coutinho’s return to the starting line-up may boost Suarez, with the South American forwards eager to rekindle their partnership that proved effective during the second half of last season.

Suarez scored a total of four goals in the Reds home and away fixtures against Norwich in the Premier League last season and the Canaries awful defensive record away from home could pave the way for Suarez to get back on the scoresheet this week.

Wayne Rooney (MUN)

Two goals from Wayne Rooney earned Manchester United a point against Tottenham at White Hart Lane last weekend, as the Red Devils extended their unbeaten run to seven games in the league.

The resurgent England international has scored five goals in his last five appearances in the Premier League, with Rooney sitting just two goals behind Sergio Aguero in the race for the Golden Boot.

Opponents Everton have kept a clean sheet in four of their last five matches in the Premiership, but the league’s most in-form player will be looking to score against his old club to keep Manchester United in the title race on Wednesday.

Transfer Tips

Gary Hooper (NOR) – £6.1m

Gary Hooper’s first-half finish earned Norwich a crucial three points, as the Canaries moved four points clear of the relegation zone.

The former Celtic striker has scored two goals in his last three appearances in the Premier League and Norwich’s next four fixtures in the division could prove more enticing for Hooper, who scored 31 goals for the Scottish champions last term.

Opponents Liverpool shipped three goals against Hull last time out and Norwich’s new summer signing could nick the odd goal against the out-of-sorts hosts on Wednesday.

Wojciech Szczesny (ARS) – £5.5m

Tipped in last week’s fantasy football tips, Wojciech Szczesny picked up his fourth clean sheet in five games as Arsenal beat Cardiff in Wales.

The Poland international has featured in every game for the Gunners in the Premier League this season, with only Everton’s Tim Howard having accrued more points than Arsenal’s stopper this term.

Opponents Hull have failed to score in three of their six their matches away from home this season and the league leaders look a good bet to once again win without conceding this week.
