Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 10

Liverpool’s Luis Suarez was the highest point scorer in Gameweek 9, after the striker grabbed a hat-trick during Liverpool’s 4-1 victory over West Brom.

Elsewhere Fernando Torres scored his first Premier League goal of the season as Chelsea beat Manchester City, whilst England international Rickie Lambert got back amongst the goals as Southampton continued their fine start to the season.

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 10, as league leaders Arsenal host high-flying Liverpool.

Captain Choices

Sergio Aguero (MCI)

Sergio Aguero’s stunning second half strike at Stamford Bridge last weekend was not enough for Manchester City, who suffered an early blow to their title hopes.

The Argentine forward’s last four appearances in the Premier League have produced six goals, two assists and eight bonus points, leaving our ante-post bet on the former Manchester City striker to win the Golden Boot in good shape heading into Gameweek 10.

Opponents Norwich conceded four goals in their last away game in the Premier League and the Citizens in-form striker looks well poised to deepen Chris Hughton’s worries on Saturday.

Luis Suarez (LIV)

Luis Suarez’s scintillating hat-trick at Anfield helped Liverpool keep the pressure on leaders Arsenal, as Brendan Rodgers’ side continued their prolific streak in front of goal.

Suarez opened the scoring in this fixture last season and after being tipped as a captain choice in Gameweek 9, the Uruguay international’s three goals last weekend took the striker’s tally to six goals, after just four appearances in the Premier League this season.

Opponents Arsenal have surprisingly kept only two clean sheets in the Premier League all season and Wednesday’s Capital One Cup exit to Chelsea, looks set to offer Suarez increased hope for the match this weekend.

Transfer Tips

Eden Hazard (CHE) – £9.1m

Three goals in as many matches has kick-started Eden Hazard’s form in the Premier League, with the Belgium international targeting a double figure return in the league this term.

Hazard was an unused substitute during Chelsea’s 2-0 Capital One Cup victory on Wednesday, so inclusion in the early lunch-time kick-off against Newcastle on Saturday looks virtually assured given recent performances.

Hazard was on target in the reverse fixture last year and the former Lille player could well be a useful inclusion to many fantasy football squads over the next two months, with Chelsea enjoying a favourable run of fixtures over the next six gameweeks.

Ashley Williams (SWA) – £4.8m

Swansea City recorded their second clean sheet in a row, as Michael Laudrup’s side continued to be competitive at home and in Europe.

The Swans captain picked up three bonus points during last weekend’s 0-0 draw with West Ham and the players’ current price in the fantasy football market suggests that the Wales international could provide plenty of value over the coming weeks.

Opponents Cardiff failed to get on the scoresheet last weekend for the fourth time this season and Swansea’s commanding skipper could close out his side’s third consecutive clean sheet on Sunday.
