Back Again to Villareal for our Football Tips For The Weekend
Regular readers will know how much I think Villareal are under valued by the market week in and week out and would have come away with profit again had you backed my selection in the Europa League predictions.
This week Villareal will return to El Madigral where they have a formidable record. They boast 13 wins in 15 games here this season and have been ahead at half time in all of these victories. Villareal sit pretty in 3rd place in La Liga and have won 3 out of the last 4 in all competitions. Mallorca on the other hand have lost the last 2 including a a 3-0 humbling away at Getafe. Villareal have been on their travels but with Rossi and Nilmar providing the fire power, Villareal should once again find enough to have their noses in front at the break.

Schalke are in my eyes one of the most improving sides in the European top flight at present. They have won 6 of the last 8 games in all competitions and have won the last 4 at home. This weekend’s challengers Cologne on the other hand have collected 4 points from 8 away games and currently occupy the relegation zone. Schalke are blessed with proven continental firepower in the likes of Messrs Huntelaar and Raul and can also call on the likes of Jefferson Farfan and Jurado and should have enough on the day to dispatch of Cologne.

Like Villareal, NAC Breda have a formidable home record. The Dutch outfit have won 9 out of 10 matches with noticeable scalps against PSV and FC Twente and their opponents Vitesse have only won 2 away games all season, both of which have been to two sides that are currently propping up the table; Excelsior and Venlo. Breda should have enough to triumph come Saturday evening.
