Football Accumulator Tips – 29 December

Selections from the Championship and Football League make up the football bets for this weekend’s football accumulator tips on Sportingly Better, returning odds of 6.88.

Accumulator Tips

Coventry (1.90) v Oldham (4.50); Draw (3.60)

A 4-2 victory over Peterborough on Boxing Day gave Coventry their seventh win at Sixfields Stadium this season, as Steven Pressley’s side bid to get their league form back on track.

Coventry boast the best attack in League One with 42 goals, a goalscoring record that is exactly double that of visitors Oldham who have gone four games without a win.

Lee Johnson’s side have scored just twice in that winless run and with the Latics having lost seven of their opening 12 games on the road this season, the Sky Blues look set for another victory at their temporary home on Sunday.

Coventry to win @1.90

Brentford (1.95) v MK Dons (4.33); Draw (3.50)

Brentford maintained their presence on league leaders Leyton Orient, with a 3-2 victory over Swindon last time out.

Clayton Donaldson’s tenth goal of the season gave Brentford their 10th victory in their last 11 league outings, form that has propelled the Bees onto the coattails of the top two in the division.

Brentford have not lost in the league since October, but visitors MK Dons could challenge that run after recording three consecutive wins in League One.

MK Dons have not conceded a goal in over 270 minutes of football, but Brentford’s desire to retain their league pace should see both sides find the net this weekend.

Over 2.5 goals @1.85

Barnsley (4.00) v Derby (1.95); Draw (3.75)

A late Martin Paterson goal denied Derby their eighth consecutive win in the Championship, as Steve McClaren’s side moved to within four points of league leaders Leicester.

The Rams continue to be full of goals with Craig Bryson, Jamie Ward and Chris Martin helping Derby haul a division-high of 46 goals this season.

Hosts Barnsley have failed to win nine of their last 10 matches in the Championship and even returning manager Danny Wilson has yet to taste victory.

The Tykes have only lost one of their last 10 meetings against Derby in all competitions, but Steve McClaren’s high-fliers should buck the trend on this occasion.
