Football Accumulator Tips – 18-19 January

Selections from the Championship and the Football League make up the bets for this weekend’s football accumulator tips on Sportingly Better, returning odds of 6.27.

Accumulator Tips

Scunthorpe (1.85) v AFC Wimbledon (4.50); Draw (3.75)

League Two leaders Scunthorpe will be looking for their 10th victory in 13 games, as Wimbledon travel to Glanford Park.

The Iron have significantly strengthend their squad over the last few weeks with strikers Gary McSheffrey and Paul Madden the latest recruits to the promotion hopefuls.

Opponents Wimbledon have won just one of their last nine games in the league and the Dons will be wearing of the drop zone with just five points separating the club from Torquay in 23rd place.

Scunthorpe will be mindful of their last encounter against Wimbledon after letting a 2-0 lead slip, but the in-form leaders should continue their fine run of form in League Two on Saturday.

Scunthorpe to win @1.85

Middlesbrough (1.83) v Charlton (4.60); Draw (3.75)

Middlesbrough maintained their push up the Championship table with a 2-0 victory away at Blackpool.

Boro have won four and drawn one of their opening five games under new coach Aitor Karanka and the recruitment of Chelsea youngsters Kenneth Omeruo and Nathaniel Chalaboah on loan will only add to the increasing optimism that the Teeside club could sneak into the play-offs come the end of the season.

Opponents Charlton saw their match at the Valley called off last weekend due to a water-logged pitch, but Chris Powell’s side remain on a four-game unbeaten run despite winning just one of their last nine games in the Championship.

Hosts Middlesbrough have won five of their last seven matches against Charlton in all competitions and Aitor Karanka’s side should have enough quality to maintain their recent run of form this weekend.

Middlesbrough to win @1.83

Crewe (4.20) v Leyton Orient (1.95); Draw (3.70)

A 4-0 win over Carlisle last weekend kept high-flying Leyton Orient to within one point of league leaders Brentford.

The O’s have added Chris Dagnall to their first team squad to increase their firepower as joint-top scorers in the division, with Russell Slade’s side having only lost three of their 25 matches in League One this season.

Hosts Crewe have got back amongst the goals after scoring two or more goals in each of their last three matches in the division.

Leyton Orient have won three of their last five matches in the league, but Crewe’s battling tendencies of late should see plenty of entertainment at the Alex.
