Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 7
Newcastle’s disappointing start to the season continued with a 1-0 defeat to Stoke on Monday night.
Elsewhere Premier League leaders Chelsea eased to a 3-0 win over Aston Villa, whilst Southampton continued their early promise with a 2-1 win over QPR.
Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 7, as Chelsea host Arsenal.
Captain Choices
Raheem Sterling (LIV)
Three goals in six games has been the opening return of Raheem Sterling in the Premier League, with the fleet-footed attacker offering arguably Liverpool’s only threat at present.
The England international had a goal ruled out for offside in the 1-0 defeat to Basel on Wednesday, but Brendan Rodgers may look to rest Sterling and bring in more of his fringe squad after a disappointing start to the campaign.
Liverpool are undefeated in 17 of their lat 19 matches at home in the Premier League and the Reds best chance of success may once again fall to their most promising prospect.
Sergio Aguero (MCI)
Sergio Aguero scored his fourth Premier League goal of the season, with an early volley against Hull last weekend.
Aguero’s penalty in the Champions League on Tuesday maintained the striker’s recent goalscoring run, but a near full 90 minutes of action could see Aguero’s participation at Villa Park somewhat reduced on Saturday.
Manchester City have scored at least two goals in 12 of their last 14 matches in the Premier League and the Citizens will be eager to fire their way past Aston Villa to maintain the pressure on league leaders Chelsea.
Transfer Tips
Leonardo Ulloa (LEI) – £5.9m
New Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa failed to score for only the second time this season, as Leicester lost away to Crystal Palace.
The Foxes home form at the King Power Stadium has been impressive, holding both Everton and Arsenal to draws in the East Midlands, whilst picking up a 5-3 victory over Manchester United two weeks ago.
Ulloa has scored an impressive five goals in six games in his debut campaign in the Premier League and the Argentinean centre forward looks more than capable of scoring against an almost hapless Burnley side.
Angel di Maria (MUN) – £10.0m
Two goals in four appearances has been the return of Angel di Maria in the Premier League so far, with the club record signing looking an important part of Manchester United’s attack already.
The former Real Madrid star may benefit more from Rooney’s absence over the coming month, with the English forward occupying di Maria’s space behind the strikers when dropping deeper.
Opponents Everton have conceded 14 goals in just six games already and Manchester United’s impressive attacking line should find their way past the Toffees backline at least once on Sunday.
