Gameweek 38 Fantasy Football Tips

GW38 (from): Al Habsi, Cech, Kompany, Terry, Boyce, Ferdinand, Walker, Petrov, Nasri, Van der Vaart, Moses, Pienaar, Adebayor, Van Persie, Aguero

Captain Choices

Sergio Aguero (MCI)

Sergio Aguero is the most in-form player going into Gameweek 38 and the Argentine forward picked up his ninth assist of the season last weekend in Manchester City’s 2-0 win at the Sports Direct Arena. Aguero has scored five goals in his last five appearances for the club and the former Atletico Madrid striker clearly favours the Etihad Stadium, scoring 15 of his 22 goals at Eastlands. Sergio Aguero comes up against a QPR defence that has conceded 38 goals away from home including six last time out at Stamford Bridge.

Robin Van Persie (ARS)

Three goals in two games has left Robin Van Persie four goals ahead of Wayne Rooney in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot. Arsenal’s Dutch forward has scored in the Gunner’s last two away games as Arsenal seek automatic qualification to the Champions League group stages. Van Persie has already showed form against West Brom in the Premier League, scoring and picking up an assist as well as two bonus points in Gameweek 11.

Fantasy Football Transfers

Rafael Van der Vaart (TOT) – £9.7m

The form of Tottenham and Rafael Van der Vaart has been more encouraging of late and the Dutch midfielder has picked up two goals in his last three games as well as an assist and four bonus points. Van der Vaart has featured predominantly in the last four gameweeks and has showed glimpses of the partnership with Emmanuel Adebayor, which was so prolific for Spurs last season.

Emerson Boyce (WIG) – £4.3m

Emerson Boyce has been an ever present for the Latics during the second half of the season and has not missed a minute of football since Gameweek 22. Boyce has been part of a Wigan Athletic defence that has picked up clean sheets in the last two games and the Barbadian defender has also shown a more attacking intent recently by setting up a goal and scoring in the last three gameweeks.
