Premier League Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 34

Gameweek 34 Fantasy Football Tips

GW34 (from): Szczesny, de Gea, Kompany, Turner, Evans, Vermaelen, Taiwo, Walcott, Valencia, Arteta, Taarabt, McClean, Rooney, Van Persie, Aguero

Bolton, Chelsea, Everton, Fulham, Liverpool, Newcastle, Stoke and Tottenham do not feature in Gameweek 34.

Captain Choices

Robin Van Persie (ARS)

Robin Van Persie’s strike against Wolves in Gameweek 33 halted a run of four gameweeks without a goal. The Premier League’s top goalscorer also managed an assist on Wednesday night and was awarded three bonus points, taking the Dutch forwards points tally to 12 for the week. Fifteen of Van Persie’s 27 goals have come at the Emirates, whilst opponents Wigan have conceded 32 goals away from home. Van Persie has good form against Wigan; scoring, picking up two assists and collecting three bonus points in Gameweek 14.

Wayne Rooney (MUN)

Wayne Rooney was withdrawn by Sir Alex Ferguson just after the hour mark against Wigan, with the England striker epitomising his side’s poor performance on Wednesday night. Rooney will be desperate to bounce back and put in a good performance against an Aston Villa side who are in danger of being embroiled in a relegation scrap. Rooney has scored six goals in his last four games at Old Trafford and the England striker should relish a return to the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday.

Fantasy Football Transfers

Theo Walcott (ARS) – £9.5m

Walcott produced a points haul of 13 points last time out with a goal, an assist and two bonus points against Wolves. The goal at Molineux was the England forwards third in four games and his eighth of the season. Walcott should enjoy his afternoon against Wigan after showing good form against the opponents in Gameweek 14, picking up an assist in the reverse fixture in December.

Antonio Valencia (MUN) – £8.5m

The Ecuadorian winger has picked up 13 assists in the Premier League this season, with more than half of these contributions coming at Old Trafford. Valencia has featured for the full 90 minutes in each of the last five gameweeks and the right sided midfielder has picked up two goals, three assists and five bonus points in his last four appearances for the club. Aston Villa have kept just one clean sheet in six gameweeks and Valencia could cause Stephen Warnock problems on Sunday.

Jonny Evans (MUN) – £5.5m

The Northern Ireland defender has picked up five clean sheets in six gameweeks, including shut outs in each of the last three home games. Evans picked up a goal in Gameweek 29 and an assist in Gameweek 30 to top the fantasy form table for defenders. Evans has benefited by a prolonged run in the team due to the absence of captain Nemanja Vidic and Evans could record another clean sheet against Aston Villa who look worryingly light up front despite the recent contribution of Andreas Weimann.
