Fantasy Football Tips Premier League Gameweek 31

Captain Choices

Robin van Persie
Arsenal’s Dutchman was part of a Premier League contingent that destroyed Hungary during last weekend’s internationals. Van Persie has scored 10 goals in Arsenal’s last 8 games and 2 of which he did not play any part in. This week Arsenal on paper have a reasonably easy test at home to Blackburn. Van Persie did play a part in the reverse earlier in the season and contributed with an assist.

Andriy Arshavin has had a fairly inconsistent season so far, but yet the Russian is only behind Nani in terms of total assists. Arshavin scored last time out against West Brom and also has form; scoring against Blackburn in August’s reverse.

Dirk Kuyt
Liverpool’s enthusiastic Dutchman is the most in-form player in the Premier League with 4 goals, 1 assist and 5 bonus points in his last 2 games. Kuyt notched a goal in the 4-0 victory against Hungary last weekend  and will fancy his chances of adding fantasy points to that tally, even against Roy Hodgson’s West Brom team.

Frank Lampard
The return of Frank Lampard has coincided with a quiet resurgence and increasing belief at Stamford Bridge. Lampard is  one of the most in-form players in the Premier League and scored a penalty in England’s 2-0 win last weekend against Wales. Lampard is one of England’s Champions League contingent to be rested and should be refreshed enough to keep Chelsea’s recent run going against Stoke City.

Transfer Options

Matt Jarvis – 5.2m
Jarvis has been called up to Capello’s England squad and may receive some game time and his international debut against Ghana on Tuesday. Jarvis has been one of Mick McCarthy’s shining lights this season and the winger has scored 2 goals, made 1 assist and collected 1 bonus point in his last 3 games. Wolves are away to Newcastle in Gameweek 31.

Luis Suarez – 9.2m
Luis Suarez has made an instant impact since his move from Ajax and the Uruguayan seems like he could well be a quality player for years to come in the Premier League. Suarez has picked up a goal, 3 assists and 5 bonus points in his last 3 games and looks a good striking option for the rest of the season at just over 9 million.

Javier Hernandez – 6.6m
If you are after a third striking option then Chicharito might be the answer. The Mexican striker has arguably been the signing of the season and has kept the enigmatic Dimitar Berbatov on the bench in recent weeks. Hernandez has scored 3 goals and collected 3 bonus points in his last 4 games and the Mexican seems to have a bit of a habit of scoring more away from home this season.
