Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 8

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 8, as Liverpool take on rivals Manchester United at Anfield on Monday night.

Captain Choices

Alexis Sanchez (ARS)

Arsenal talisman Alexis Sanchez will be looking to build on an impressive run of form after scoring four goals in his last five games for the club.

The Premier League’s joint-highest scoring midfielder looks well poised to take on the captain’s armband this weekend as the Gunners face struggling Swansea at the Emirates Stadium.

Only Liverpool and Manchester City have scored more goals than Arsenal this season and after a very encouraging home victory against Chelsea last time out, expect Sanchez to lead the hosts to victory on Saturday.

Sergio Aguero (MCI)

Star turn Sergio Aguero may have only scored one league goal at the Etihad Stadium so far this season, but the Argentina international looks well poised to add to his tally of five goals for the Citizens.

Opponents Everton have failed to win any of their last six Premier League games against Manchester City and after a disappointing defeat against Tottenham following a run of 10 consecutive victories, Pep Guardiola’s side will be eager to bounce back.

After a difficult last couple of games for Manchester City, expect Aguero to kick-start the Citizens weekend with a bang against Everton.

Transfer Tips

Nacer Chadli (WBA) – £6.4m

After a quiet transfer window for manager Tony Pulis, Belgian midfielder Nacer Chadli has proved a solid acquisition for the Baggies, notching three goals in just four games for the clubs.

West Brom do have a tough run of fixtures in the Premier League, but priced at just £6.4m the former Tottenham man looks the most likely to provide a spark for the Midlands side.

Theo Walcott (ARS) – £7.7m

England international Theo Walcott will be looking to carry on his domestic form for Arsenal, after notching three goals and three assists for Arsene Wenger’s side.

The fleet-footed attacker put in one of many unconvincing performances for the Three Lions during the international break, but the Gunners assured start of the season should see Walcott pick up his form this weekend against Swansea.

ON THE WATCHLIST

  • Heung-min Son (TOT)  – £7.7m
  • Laurent Koscielny (ARS) – £6.2m
