Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 5

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 5, as Chelsea face Liverpool in the live televised game on Friday night.

Captain Choices

Romelu Lukaku (EVE)

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku may well have started the campaign slowly, but his 11-minute hat-trick against Sunderland last time out appears to show the powerful front man back to fitness.

Lukaku scored 18 goals for Everton last year and despite speculation linking the player with a move back to Chelsea, the Belgium international should remain an integral part of Ronald Koeman’s side at least for one more campaign.

Everton enjoy a favourable run of fixtures until the end of October and priced at just £9.2m, Lukaku’s stock appears to be on the rise.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic (MUN)

Despite coming out on the losing side, Zlatan Ibrahimovic fired in as many as ten attempts on target in the 2-1 defeat by city rivals Manchester City last weekend.

The Sweden international was powerless to overturn the Red Devils surprise defeat in the Europa League against Feyenoord on Thursday night and Jose Mourinho’s side will be focused on bouncing back from two successive defeats so early on.

With a trip away at Vicarage Road on Sunday, Ibrahimovic will be looking to build on his four goals already for his new club.

Transfer Tips

Alexis Sanchez (ARS) – £11.0m

Alexis Sanchez’s strike against PSG in the Champions League was enough to give Arsene Wenger a share of the spoils in the Champions League this week.

The Chile international scored one goal and made two more in his last away match for the Gunners and a trip away to Hull appears to seemingly offer the club’s talisman potential to return a similar fantasy points haul this weekend.

Michail Antonio (WHU) – £7.2m

Michail Antonio may have been misused as a full back in West Ham’s opening weekend defeat against Chelsea, but since then the English wide man has found a good run of form for the Hammers in his more natural position further forward.

The English midfielder has scored four goals in his last three games for West Ham and with a promising run of fixtures ahead, the Hammers will be looking to climb the Premier League table after a disappointing opening start to life at the Olympic Stadium.

ON THE WATCHLIST

  • Etienne Capoue (WAT)  – £4.8m
  • Ashley Williams (EVE) – £5.0m
