Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 31
Southampton’s Graziano Pelle scored twice as Southampton picked up a 2-1 win away at Stoke, whilst Harry Kane bagged two goals as Tottenham continued their title challenge.
Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 31, as Manchester City face Manchester United.
Captain Choices
Gylfi Sigurdsson (SWA)
Iceland international Gylfi Sigurdsson fired in his ninth goal of the season, as Swansea lost in dramatic fashion to Premier League risers Bournemouth.
Seven goals in 11 league games in 2016 highlights the midfielder’s impact on the Swans fortunes in moving away from the relegation zone, with the player currently selected by 8.7% of fantasy managers.
Sigurdsson was on target in Swansea’s 2-1 victory at Villa Park back in October and the Welsh club’s talismanic midfielder should find the going equally good at home to bottom side Aston Villa this weekend.
Harry Kane (TOT)
Two goals in three minutes by Tottenham striker Harry Kane gave Spurs a valuable three points against Aston Villa.
The England international will be eager to add to his tally of 19 league goals this season, having now scored eight goals in his last nine games in the Premiership.
Opponents Bournemouth suffered a 5-1 defeat at the Vitality Stadium in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and after grabbing a hat-trick in that match, expect Kane to be on the scoresheet yet again.
Transfer Tips
Roberto Firmino (LIV) – £8.2m
Roberto Firmino made no mistake in sealing his eighth goal of the season as Wayne Hennesy gifted the Brazilian player the equalising goal last time out.
The explosive midfielder has now scored seven goals and picked up four assists in Liverpool’s last eight games in the Premier League, with the player having been transferred in by over 600,000 managers during that time.
Visitors Liverpool were 6-1 winners the last time these two sides met in the Capital One Cup this season and the Premier League’s most in-form player looks more than capable of giving the Reds another resounding victory.
Salomon Rondon (WBA) – £7.5m
Salomon Rondon scored his seventh goal of the season as West Brom earned their first home win over Manchester United in 32 years.
The powerful Venezuelan forward has now scored four goals in his last six appearances for the Baggies and looks Tony Pulis’ main threat in attack this year.
Opponents Norwich have lost their last six away matches in the Premier League and the form of Rondon suggests that another loss could be on the cards.
