Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 30
QPR’s Andros Townsend was the highest points scorer in Gameweek 29, after a man of the match performance against Sunderland last weekend.
Elsewhere Jan Vertonghen’s brace at Anfield was not enough to secure victory for Spurs, with Luis Suarez and Stewart Downing picking up good point hauls for Liverpool.
Budget price back-line options Artur Boruc, Joos Hoiveld and Michael Turner all picked up valuable points during a controversial goalless draw at Carrow Road, whilst Gabriel Agbonlahor was on target for Aston Villa at the Madejski Stadium.

Captain Choices
Robin Van Persie (MUN)
Van Persie’s deflected pass for Shinji Kagawa in Gameweek 28 was the Dutch striker’s third assist in as many gameweeks and the Premier League’s second top scorer continues to create chances for his new side.
Only Carlos Tevez has set up more goals than Van Persie (12) this season and the Netherlands international has a habit of consistently scoring points for the Red Devils this term.
Van Persie was on target against Reading in the reverse fixture back in December and the clinical striker will be hopeful of adding to his currentl tally against the Royals, who are yet to keep a clean sheet away from home.
Gareth Bale (TOT)
Tottenham’s Gareth Bale has scored seven goals in his last six appearances in the Premier League and although the Wales international’s six assists are markedly down on last season’s tally of 14, Bale’s crossing and delivery from dead ball situations still carries a very real threat.
No midfielder has fired in more crosses than Bale (222) this season, whilst a total of 62 chances have been created by Bale for his Tottenham team mates this season.
Opponents Fulham have kept just two clean sheets away from home all season and Bale’s Europa League suspension from the second-leg at the San Siro should see the highly rated midfielder suitably refreshed against the Cottagers on Sunday.
Luis Suarez (LIV)
The Premier League top scorer was on target for the third gameweek in a row last weekend, with the Uruguayan striker stretching his lead over Van Persie to 21 goals for the season.
Suarez is the most in-form player in the league having accumulated 43 points over the last three gameweeks, a run which has seen five goals, three assists and eight bonus points.
Opponents Southampton have failed to keep a clean sheet at home in each of their last five games in the Premier League and Liverpool’s in-form talisman will have to be closely monitored in and around the Saints penalty box on Saturday.
Transfer Tips
Loic Remy (QPR) – £5.9m
QPR’s recent upturn in fortune has coincided with Loic Remy’s goalscoring form and the French striker striker looks an increasingly important player for Harry Redknapp’s side.
Remy has scored three goals in just four starts since arriving from Marseille in January and although the France international has picked up a few niggling injuries, Remy’s goals look crucial if QPR are to avoid the drop this season.
Opponents Aston Villa have not kept a clean sheet in their last 13 games in the league and QPR’s most in-form player will be keen to continue his goalscoring ways and fire his side to Premier League safety.
David de Gea (MUN) – £5.6m
Manchester United’s shut out against Norwich last time out was the Red Devils’ fourth consecutive clean sheet in the Premier League and the Spanish shot stopper continues to grow in confidence.
De Gea has quickly cemented his place as the number one goalkeeper at Old Trafford after starting Manchester United’s last 13 games in the Premier League and the former Atletico Madrid stopper looks set to see out the season as United’s first choice goalkeeper.
Opponents Reading have scored just 12 goals away from home and de Gea will be confident of picking up his fifth successive clean sheet in the Premier League this weekend.
