Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 29

Shinji Kagawa was the highest points scorer in Gameweek 28, after netting a hat-trick during Manchester United’s 4-0 win over Norwich last weekend.

Elsewhere Liverpool’s Luis Suarez fired in a hat-trick of his own as Liverpool ran out comfortable winners at Wigan and Jack Collison’s solitary goal was enough to secure all three points for West Ham at Stoke.

Midfielders Steven Pienaar and Marouane Fellaini helped Everton dispose of Reading, whilst defenders David Luiz and Glen Johnson again proved their worth to fantasy managers.

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 29 as Liverpool host Tottenham at Anfield.

Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, Fulham, Manchester City, Manchester United, West Ham and Wigan all do not feature during Gameweek 29.

Captain Choices

Luis Suarez (LIV)

Three goals against Wigan last weekend helped Liverpool’s Suarez leapfrog Robin Van Persie to lead the Premier League goalscoring charts with 21 goals.

The Uruguay striker has now accumulated 31 points in his last two gameweeks for the club after a run of four goals, two assists and five bonus points, fueled partly by a promising link-up with South American counterpart Phillipe Coutinho.

Opponents Tottenham have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last three games in the Premier League and Andre Villas-Boas’ high-flying side will have to closely monitor Suarez in and around the penalty box on Sunday.

Gareth Bale (TOT)

The Premier League’s most in-form player scored for the fifth game in a row last weekend helping Tottenham secure a priceless win over rivals Arsenal at White Hart Lane.

Bale’s goals have quickly propelled Tottenham into contention for Champions League qualification and the Wales international continues to be Spurs’ main attacking outlet.

Gareth Bale has form against Liverpool after picking up a goal and an assist in the reverse fixture back in November and the burgeoning star of world football will be confident of keeping his recent goalscoring run going.

Transfer Tips

Phillipe Coutinho (LIV) – £6.6m

Just 141 minutes into his Premier League career and Brazilian midfielder Phillipe Coutinho has already begun to show his ability for Brendan Rodgers with a goal, two assists and one bonus point in his last three appearances for the club.

The dynamic forward has demonstrated good balance and agility on the ball since arriving from Inter Milan in January and over 30,000 managers have already brought in the value midfielder this gameweek, despite Liverpool’s in-form opposition on Sunday.

Liverpool enjoy fixtures against Southampton, Aston Villa, West Ham and Reading after facing Tottenham and the Brazilian youngster should feature prominently over that period given Raheem Sterling’s break from first team action.

Moussa Sissoko (NEW) – £6.6m

Last weekend’s defeat to Swansea was the first game that Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko had failed to either score or assist in a Premier League match since arriving from Toulouse in January and the French midfielder will be looking to immediately bounce back against Stoke on Sunday.

Sissoko has been a big hit on Tyneside scoring three goals and assisting twice in just five appearances for the Magpies and the France international’s all-action displays have played a key part in Newcastle’s recent resurgence in the league.

Newcastle enjoy games against Stoke, Wigan and Fulham over the next four gameweeks and Sissoko looks set to again be the main catalyst for Alan Pardew’s side.
