Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 26

Leicester City’s Robert Huth scored twice as Leicester beat Manchester City away from home to move five points clear at the top of the Premier League summit.

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 26, as Manchester City host Spurs.

Captain Choices

Roberto Firmino (LIV)

Liverpool will be looking to win for the first time in six matches, with a trip to bottom side Aston Villa.

Summer signing Roberto Firmino has remained a plus point during this run however, with the attacker having picked up five goals in as many games for the club leaving the player the most in-form midfielder in the Premier League.

Opponents Aston Villa will be encouraged by their victory last time out, but Remi Garde’s side are unlikely to keep Firmino quiet this weekend.

Sergio Aguero (MCI)

Sergio Aguero’s late goal against Leicester may have been little more than a consolation strike, but the Argentina international’s goal did take his tally up to 14 goals for the season.

A run of seven goals in the last six games has seen Aguero close the gap on top goalscorer Jamie Vardy to just four goals, with the Citizens striker joint-favourite for the Golden Boot in the betting markets.

Aguero picked up an assist in the reverse encounter with Spurs, but the need to take points of a title rival should see Manuel Pellegrini’s go on the front foot this Saturday.

Transfer Tips

Benik Afobe (BOU) – £6.1m

January signing Benik Afobe may have not been somewhat absent against former club Arsenal last time out, but the £9 million capture has still made a promising start for the Cherries.

Goals against Norwich, Sunderland and Crystal Palace show enough encouragement for the striker, who will be eager to form a blossoming partnership with Callum Wilson next season.

Afobe is selected by less than 1% of fantasy football managers and given Bournemouth’s run of fixtures over the next five gamweeks, Afobe remains an interesting choice as the third striker option.

Diego Costa (CHE) – £10.6m

Diego Costa’s late strike at Stamford Bridge denied Manchester United all three points last weekend, as the aggressive forward bagged his ninth goal of the season.

The Spain international’s tally of 20 goals last season is unlikely to be bettered this time around, but a return of six goals in eight games has shown some renewed form the player.

Opponents Newcastle have lost their last five games away from home in all competitions and Costa looks likely to carry on his run of form this weekend.
