Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 23
Bournemouth’s Charlie Daniels had a starring role as the Cherries picked up a comfortable win over Norwich, whilst Sergio Aguero scored twice for Manchester City in a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 23, as Arsenal host Chelsea.
Captain Choices
Romelu Lukaku (EVE)
Everton striker Romelu Lukaku will be looking to add to his 15 goals this term, after failing to score in any of the last three Premier League matches.
The Toffees have failed to win any of their last four matches at Goodison Park, but Lukaku’s record at home in recent weeks is favourable with seven goals in just six matches.
Opponents Swansea have failed to win 10 of their last 11 matches away from home in the league and Lukaku and co should find favour against a faltering side.
Sergio Aguero (MCI)
Sergio Aguero continued his run of goals since returning from injury with a fine brace in a comprehensive win over Crystal Palace.
The Argentina international finished off a sublime team move for his second goal and the striker will be looking to continue his form against West Ham after scoring four goals and picking up two assists in his last seven Premier League appearances against the Hammers.
Manchester City have struggled for goals away from home this season, but the return of Aguero should see that record significantly improving.
Transfer Tips
Roberto Firminio (LIV) – £7.8m
Liverpool will be looking to bounce back from defeat against Manchester United with a trip to Carrow Road this weekend.
Injuries to Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana should see Roberto Firminio start for the seventh consecutive match in the league, after a breathtaking performance in the 3-3 draw with Arsenal a fortnight ago.
Opponents Norwich have conceded three goals in each of their last three games in the league and relegation worries for the Canaries should see Firminio highlight his attacking strengths once again.
Georginio Wijnaldum (NEW) – £7.0m
Highlighted in last week’s fantasy football tips, Georgino Wijnaldum scored another goal at St James’ Park as Newcastle picked up a vital win over West Ham.
All nine goals for the Netherlands international have come at home, but a trip away to Watford does represent a chance to score for the third consecutive game, despite Steve McLaren’s side having netted fewer away league goals than any of the top seven tiers of English football.
Opponents Watford have lost each of their last four games in the Premier League and Wijnaldum could provide the spark for Newcastle to pick up a valuable victory away from home.
