Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 16

Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez grabbed a hat-trick as the Foxes comfortably swept aside Swansea to move top of the Premier League table.

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 16, as Spurs face Newcastle.

Captain Choices

Romelu Lukaku (EVE)

Romelu Lukaku’s late strike against Crystal Palace earned Everton a point in an entertaining match, which saw the striker score his sixth goal in five league games.

Backed as a captain choice last gameweek, Lukaku also hit the woodwork twice in that game, before finally finding the net after tapping in Gerard Deulofeu’s low cross.

Eagles manager Alan Pardew has likened Lukaku to former Premier League heavyweight Didier Drogba and if the Belgium international notches his sixth consecutive goal at Carrow Road, then further comparisons are likely to continue for the Toffees star striker.

Mesut Ozil (ARS)

Mesut Ozil racked up yet another assist for the Gunners as Arsenal swept aside struggling Sunderland last weekend.

The German midfielder is enjoying a fine season so far and the player’s 12 assists in the Premier League is five clear of any other player in the Premiership.

Opponents Aston Villa have failed to win any of their last 14 matches in the league and given Arsenal’s impressive turnaround in the Champions League, expect Ozil to continue to support the Arsenal attack and cause this weekend.

Transfer Tips

Kevin De Bruyne (MCI) – £10.9m

Kevin De Bruyne will find home comforts more appealing this weekend as Manchester City welcome managerless Swansea to the Etihad Stadium.

All six of De Bruyne’s assists and three out of the midfielders four goals have all come at home and the visit by the Swans should give the Belgium midfielder further opportunity to add to his promising start for the Citizens in front of the home crowd.

Hosts Manchester City have scored at least two goals in 13 of their last 15 matches at home and after a disappointing defeat against Stoke last time out, expect Manuel Pellegrini’s side to bounce back with a bang on Saturday.

Phillipe Coutinho (LIV) – £8.1m

A return to the fold this weekend seems likely for Liverpool midfielder Phillipe Coutinho, who came off the bench as Liverpool played out a goalless draw against Sion in the Champions League.

That game time should see Coutinho start at home against West Brom on Saturday, with the Baggies having conceded in each of their last five games in the Premiership.

Prior to his injury Coutinho had scored four goals in three matches and Liverpool’s dynamic Brazilian looks a smart acquisition for fantasy managers looking to pick up some coverage in Jurgen Klopp’s emerging side.
