Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 15

Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne had a hand in every goal for the Citizens last weekend as Manuel Pellegrini’s side secured a 3-1 victory over Southampton, whilst Leicester’s Jamie Vardy broke the Premier League goalscoring record for scoring in 11 consecutive matches.

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 15, as Newcastle face Liverpool.

Captain Choices

Romelu Lukaku (EVE)

Romelu Lukaku’s first half strike was one of six goals at Dean Court last weekend, as Everton struggled to put Bournemouth away.

Backed as a captain choice last gameweek, Lukaku did not disappoint by scoring his tenth Premier League goal of the season as the Toffees attacking fluidity under Roberto Martinez continued to draw the eye.

Opponents Crystal Palace have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven games in the Premier League and with Lukaku on a run of five goals in four matches, expect Everton’s key striker to continue his recent goalscoring run.

Mesut Ozil (ARS)

Mesut Ozil’s run of seven consecutive assists in the Premier League may have come to an end, but the German midfielder did manage to score his second goal of the season, as Alexis Sanchez capitalised on yet another poor clearance by Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy.

Only Everton’s Ross Barkley can better Ozil’s form currently and the midfield maestro has seen an influx of fantasy transfers over the last few gameweeks, which has seen the players ownership level reach 37%.

Opponents Sunderland will be eager to build on their back-to-back victories in the Premier League, but despite Arsenal’s current injury crisis, expect Ozil to play a starring role in the Gunners fortunes this weekend.

Transfer Tips

Ross Barkley (EVE) – £7.2m

Currently the most in-form player in the Premier League, our decision to highlight the England international as a transfer tip last weekend did not disappoint as the midfielder picked up 13 fantasy points during Gameweek 14.

Ross Barkley’s partnership with attacking trio Romelu Lukaku and Gerard Deulofeu continues to flourish with seven goals now scored in their last two outings in the Premiership.

Barkley’s burgeoning talents will be firmly on show for the live Monday night game at home to Crystal Palace and another attacking encounter by Roberto Martinez looks likely this gameweek.

Troy Deeney (WAT) – £5.1m

Troy Deeney scored his fourth goal in five games as Watford condemned bottom side Aston Villa to their eleventh defeat of the season.

Deeney’s bullet header helped the Hornets climb towards the verge of the top half of the table and Quique Flores’ side will be looking for back-to-back victories against Norwich on Saturday.

Watford’s next to fixtures do appeal and given the player’s partnership with fellow forward Odion Ighalo, expect Deeney to be on the end of yet more chances this weekend.
