Fantasy Football Premier League Tips Gameweek 32

Captain Choices

Frank Lampard
Chelsea’s star midfielder is one of the few players for Carlo Ancelotti who is in any sort of form. Frank Lampard has accumulated 3 goals, 1 assist and 5 bonus points in his last 4 games. Lampard did manage to play against this week’s opponents Wigan very early on in the season before the England midfielders injuries and picked up an assist in the process.

With Chelsea’s misfiring front line, David Luiz could be an alternative choice for fantasy captain this week. The Brazilian centre half will be fresh after being competition-tied for the Champions League quarter final on Wednesday. Luiz has already scored 2 goals and the Chelsea back line should not be tested too much against Wigan’s attack.

Dimitar Berbatov
With Rooney looking likely to miss the Fulham match, Berbatov will step into the fold and the Bulgarian’s record at home has been particularly impressive this season. 16 out of Berbatov’s 20 goals this season have come at Old Trafford and the enigmatic forward played well when he came on against West Ham last weekend. Berbatov also grabbed himself an assist against Fulham in the reverse earlier in the season.

Nani is another with an encouraging goalscoring record at Old Trafford for the Red Devils. 7 out of Nani’s 9 goals this season have come at home but the Portuguese midfielder had mixed fortunes in the 2-2 game at Craven Cottage, grabbing an assist but also missing a penalty.

Robin Van Persie
With Arsenal battling on one front, expect an open and attacking game at Bloomfield Road. Arsenal put 6 past Blackpool earlier in the season and Robin Van Persie is likely to spearhead a similar attack.

Transfer Options

Darren Bent – 8.9m
England striker Darren Bent  has scored 3 goals in his last 3 games with 3 bonus points and Aston Villa have a relatively straightforward run of fixtures in until gameweeks 37 and 38 where they play Liverpool and Arsenal. Aston Villa are at home to Newcastle in gameweek 32.

Stewart Downing – 7.4m
At 7.4m Downing represents somewhat of a fantasy transfer bargain. The former Middlesbrough winger impressed recently for England and in his last 7 games for Aston Villa has contributed with 5 assists and 1 goal.

Antonio Valencia 7.8m
Manchester United’s Ecuadorian right winger has returned from injury in recent weeks. Valencia had a good campaign last season and his pace and early balls in could cause a problem against Fulham.
