Fantasy Football Premier League Tips Gameweek 35
Captain Choices
Dirk Kuyt
Kuyt continues to impress again and grabbed a goal and an assist last time out against Birmingham. This is on top of the 6 goals, 8 bonus points and an assist in the Dutchman’s previous five games before that. This gameweek Liverpool play Newcastle at Anfield, looking to continue their fine form. Kuyt scored in the reverse in November, which Newcastle won 3-1.
With Liverpool in good form and a home tie against Newcastle coming up thought should also be given to Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll. Carroll missed Liverpool’s last game through injury and is a doubt to face his former club. Suarez seems to have instantly settled into England and life in the Premiership. The Uruguayan contributed well last time out against Birmingham picking up an assist.
Florent Malouda
As highlighted in last week’s post Florent Malouda is a player in superb form and should be a consideration for the captain’s armband for any fantasy manager. Malouda has now scored 4 goals in 4 games including one assist and 6 bonus points. Chelsea are at home to Tottenham in gameweek 35.
With Fernando Torres finally scoring for Chelsea, Didier Drogba will know the competition with the Spaniard is finally on to lead Chelsea’s frontline. The Ivorian is in good form and has scored against this gameweeks opponents Tottenham in a 1-1 draw back in December.
Robin Van Persie
If Arsenal even have a glimmer of hope of some silverware then the Gunners have to beat league leaders Manchester United. Van Persie is a player in superb goalscoring form and the Dutchman has scored in 4 successive games for Arsenal. If Arsenal are to come away with a result then Van Persie is likely to score along the way.
Transfer Options
Peter Odemwingie – 5.4m
Odemwingie has been one of the signings of the season and his 13 goals has helped fire West Brom to Premiership safety. The Nigerian is the most form player in the Premier League currently. Odemwingie has scored 4 goals in his last 5 games including 4 assists and 8 bonus points. West Brom welcome Aston Villa to the Hawthorns in gameweek 35.
David Silva – 8.3m
In his debut season, the Spanish international has probably not returned the goals and assists for fantasy managers his performances have deserved. Manchester City look set to finish the season strongly and secure Champions League qualification and will need 3 points against West Ham. Silva collected 2 bonus points and made a goal in the reverse against the Hammers.
Charles N’Zogbia – 5.4m
Wigan have to get some sort of result against Everton and will look to attack in an attempt to avoid relegation. N’Zogbia is only behind Charlie Adam and Carlos Tevez in terms of bonus points that have been awarded so far this season. N’Zogbia is in good form and has scored 1 goal, made a further 2 goals and 2 bonus points in his last 2 games for the Latics.
