FA Cup Accumulator Betting – 4-5 January
Selections from the third round of the FA Cup make up the football bets for this weekend’s football accumulator tips on Sportingly Better, returning odds of 3.93.
Accumulator Tips
Barnsley (2.50) v Coventry (3.00); Draw (3.40)
League One top scorers Coventry take on Barnsley on Saturday, with both sides closely priced in the betting market.
Coventry have scored three or more goals 15 times in all competitions this season and Steven Pressley’s heavy-hitters will fancy their chances of scoring at least once on Saturday.
Hosts Barnsley have the worst defensive record at home in the Championship and although Danny Wilson has recently returned to the club, the Tykes have yet to win any of their last six games in the Championship.
The Sky Blues beat Hartlepool 2-1 in the last round of the competition and although victory at Oakwell would not be too surprising, the tendency for goals looks promising this weekend.
Accumulator Bet 1
Over 2.5 goals @1.65
Kidderminster (4.33) v Peterborough (1.90); Draw (3.75)
Darren Ferguson’s Peterborough side travel to Worcestershire on Saturday, with Skrill Premier side Kidderminster Harriers the hosts in the FA Cup.
The Posh continue to lose traction in League One after winning just two of their last 12 matches in the division, with the New Year’s Day defeat to league leaders Brentford the latest blow.
Hosts Kidderminster have begun to suffer their own wobble in the league losing four of their last five games in the Skill Premier division, but a 6-0 thumping at the hands of Luton last time out was an alarming result for Steve Burr’s side.
Peterborough were 5-0 winners over Tranmere in the last round and the Posh should rediscover their goalscoring touch at Aggborough this weekend.
Accumulator Bet 2
Over 2.5 goals @1.65
Manchester United (1.44) v Swansea (8.00); Draw (4.75)
A crushing 2-1 defeat to Tottenham on New Year’s Day all but ended Manchester United’s Premier League title defence, as David Moyes’ side target better fortune in the cup competitions.
The Red Devils remain in the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup and the last-16 of the Champions League, but another cup run could prove critically distracting for Manchester United’s hopes of qualifying for the Champions League this season.
England international Danny Welbeck has come in and enjoyed his spell in front of goal, whilst Wayne Rooney should return for Sunday’s match at Old Trafford.
Visitors Swansea have endured a torrid run of form for the best part of 2013 despite a historic Capital One Cup victory over Bradford in February and the toll of Premier League and Europa League football has at times seemed difficult to manage for coach Michael Laudrup.
Summer signing Wilfried Bony has yet to find his feet for the Swans, whilst Michu’s long absence on the sidelines continues to rock Swansea’s Swans attacking edge this campaign.
Manchester United have won five of their last six games in all competitions and David Moyes’ side should bounce back with victory on Sunday.
Accumulator Bet 3
Manchester United to win @1.44
Betting Accumulator Odds – 3.93 (three or more goals in both the Barnsley v Coventry and Kidderminster v Peterborough matches as well as a win for Manchester United)
