European & Championship Football Tips For The Weekend 7th & 8th May

A couple of weeks ago we flagged up another winning tip with under 2.5 goals in the Sporting Gijon match and a similar bet and market looks primed for this weekend.

Sporting Gijon play at El Molinon where the Rojiblanco’s last 8 games have all ended with less than 3 goals. Viewers who caught Braga on Thursday on Five will notice a similar mentality to that of Sporting Gijon who tend to keep games tight and usually end up with a credible draw or win by the odd goal along the way. Sporting Gijon have actually kept 7 of  their last 8 games to under 3 goals, a run that included a 1-0 win over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, which ended Jose Mourinho’s home record.

Opponents on Saturday are Deportivo, who are  La Liga’s lowest goalscorers with 27 goals and Depor are in a deep relegation battle lying just one point above the drop zone in 17th place. Deportivo’s last 5 games and their last 5 games away from the Riazor have all been short on goals as Depor seem to try and make sure that all their remaining games don’t get away from them.

Under 2.5 goals (Sporting Gijon v Deportivo La Coruna) @1.61

Without a win in 11 games and without a win in 5 on the road Doncaster can count themselves fortunate that a strong first half of the season put enough points on the board early on in the season for their Championship survival. Doncaster have dug in and picked up 3 valuable points after successive draws, which was enough to ensure their safety.

Opponents Middlesbrough were very impressive last time out; winning 3-0 away at Cardiff that made it three straight victories for Tony Mowbray’s side. At the Riverside Stadium they have not lost in six matches and will look to finish the season well and carry momentum and new hope into the new season.

Middlesbrough to win @1.66
