European U21 Championship Weekend Football Tips

Switzerland go into the final game in Group A with 2 wins out of 2 and know that a point will be enough against Belarus to reach the semi-finals, who must win to have any similar hope of reaching the last four.

There’s a lot of belief in the Swiss camp, none more than Shaqiri who scored a fine effort in the opening 1-0 victory over hosts Denmark. Fabian Frei, Yann Sommer and Innocent Emeghara are also notable sparks for Pierluigi Tami’s side. Belarus have injury doubts over a number of players including Pavel Nekhaychik which is a big blow as well as couple of suspensions to add to their concerns. With the momentum and belief with the Swiss,  qualification for the semi-finals and another three points looks likely.

Switzerland to win @1.61

England know they must win against the Czech Republic after two disappointing draws in their previous group games against Spain and the Ukraine.

The Czech Republic are a good footballing side and qualification top goalscorer Tomas Pekhart has yet to find the back of the net and come to life. Marek Suchy and Borek Dockal whose brace was enough to secure the Czech Republic’s only points in the group so far are both capable players also. England have come under criticism for Stuart Pearce’s tactics, team selections and somewhat long ball style of football and confidence seems low for the three lions as another England team faces yet another disappointment at an international tournament. The miss of Jack Wilshere is a painfully obvious blow too. If England are to progress Daniel Sturridge looks the likely candidate to fire England into the semi-finals, but the Czech’s are in pole position and know a point would be enough to see them reach the final four.

Czech Republic win or Draw (Double Chance) @1.66
