European Football Tips For The Weekend 26th Feb & 27th Feb

In the French Le Championnat 2nd placed Rennes face 18th placed Lens at Route de Lorient and will look to maintain the pressure on leaders Lille. Rennes have a good record at home this season winning 8 matches and only losing once in 12 games. Frederic Antonetti plays successful if unspectacular football and have won the last 3 games on the bounce. Yann M’vila is a talent for Les Rouges et Noirs, but Yacine Brahimi is another player to note. Lens meanwhile have only won once away from home all season and goals are a real concern for Laszlo Boloni’s side. Les Sang et Or are without a win in 4 games and Rennes should have enough about them to maintain the pressure on current leaders Lille.

Rennes to win @1.72

Genoa are starting to pick up in Italy after a slow and disappointing start to the season and with the squad they assembled over the Summer, it is of little surprise. Among those were Portuguese midfielder Miguel Veloso and Brazillian full back Rafinha. Genoa have only lost once in 7 games (a 1-0 away loss against Fiorentina) and have faced AC Milan and Roma who the Rossoblu beat 4-3 last time out in that time. Catania sit in 17th place and have only won once in their last 9 Serie A games and this was a home win against Lecce. Genoa are in good form and should at least avoid defeat away at Stadio Angelo Massimino.

Genoa 0AH (Asian Handicap) @2.0
