Soccer Betting Tips

England (1.90) v Ecuador (4.00); Draw (3.40)

World Cup qualifiers Ecuador are the opponents for Roy Hodgson’s side on Wednesday, with the South American side providing an arguably sterner test in England side’s penultimate game before Brazil.

England manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will start after overcoming a groin problem, whilst Phil Jones will also come in at the back.

Southampton left back Luke Shaw may deputise for Leighton Baines’ following the defender’s injury on Friday, with growing speculation that Wayne Rooney may be dropped to the bench.

England have won just three of their last eight international friendlies and Wednesday’s anticipated experimental line-up has seen the odds on a victory for the Three Lions drift to even money (2.00) in places.

Opponents Ecuador slipped to a 3-1 defeat against Mexico in Texas on Friday, with the side having won just two of their last 13 matches in all competitions.

Reinaldo Rueda’s men will be without the altitude advantage in their native Quito, but El Tri are not to be underestimated after picking up a 1-1 draw with the Netherlands in Eindhoven recently.

England’s penultimate warm-up game is unlikely to get into any sort of rhythm; with the heat in Miami and experimental changes stifling the tempo of the game, but the Three Lions were solid if unspectacular victors last time out and Roy Hodgson’s men remain well priced to pick up the win today.
