Two of three goalkeeper spots are available with Celtic stopper Fraser Forster up against John Ruddy, Ben Foster, Jack Butland and Rob Green.
A move to the Premier League for former club Newcastle United in the summer has been cited, with the keeper having proved an ever-present for the Scottish champions over the last two seasons.
The Celtic stopper has again put in some notable displays in the Champions League this year, whilst closest rivals John Ruddy and Ben Foster have featured for struggling Premier League sides; having also picked up injuries.
Forster has been selected regularly for Roy Hodgson’s national squads since October 2012 and the 26-year old goalkeeper remains available at backable odds to make the plane to Rio.

Jordan Henderson
One of the most improved English players over the past two years is yet to be guaranteed a place for the 2014 World Cup squad, despite starring in a likely title-winning side.
Henderson was nominated as a standby for Euro 2012 and promptly received a call-up following an injury to Frank Lampard. The midfielder has since gone on to win eight caps and made his second start for the national team in England’s last match against Denmark at Wembley.
Roy Hodgson’s preferred 4-3-2-1 formation is likely to provide a total of six spots for central midfielders in the World Cup squad with the likes of Steven Gerrard, Jack Wilshere, Michael Carrick and Frank Lampard virtually assured of four of the places.
Henderson has featured in all but one of Liverpool’s matches in the Premier League this season, scoring four goals and picking up seven assists and the former Sunderland midfielder should have done more than enough to have earned his England shirt this summer.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Despite scoring twice during the World Cup qualifiers and once against Brazil at the Maracana last year, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s place on the plane for Brazil is not guaranteed.
The Arsenal midfielder has started just six times in the Premier League this season and twice in the Champions League, during another injury-hit campaign, but the player’s impact on games, especially from the bench is likely to swing the favour for the former Southampton man.
Roy Hodgson’s ploy of playing on the counter-attack would look to welcome the pace of Oxlade-Chamberlain, alongside the likes of regulars Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck in attack.
Theo Walcott’s injury and the wavering form of Tottenham’s Andros Townsend both look to play into Oxlade-Chamberlain’s hands, with the Arsenal midfielder capable of playing on either wide forward role and also in the centre of midfield.

Michael Carrick
Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick could be a surprise exclusion from Roy Hodgson’s final World Cup squad, despite an enjoying an international career spanning 13 years.
The rise of midfielders Ross Barkley and Jordan Henderson this season are likely to raise some doubt over Carrick’s selection, particularly given the preference of James Milner’s industry in the area,
England’s poor possession count at Euro 2012 has seen Roy Hodgson adding an extra man in midfield, so the inclusion of a player of Carrick’s ball-retention skills looks likely.
