Chelsea v Stoke – Betting Preview

Last weekend’s football tips produced winning bets of 2.00 and 2.75, as Chelsea defeated Manchester United 3-1 in the Premier League.

Sportingly Better picks out the best value football tips this weekend as Chelsea host Stoke in the FA Cup.

Weekend Football Tips

Chelsea (1.25) v Stoke (12.00); Draw (7.00)

Chelsea will be looking to avenge their 3-2 defeat at the Britannia Stadium last month, with Stoke the visitors to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho will be without Fernando Torres in attack, so Demba Ba could get a rare chance to lead the line for Chelsea this weekend.

Winger Mohamed Salah has yet to conclude his transfer from Basel, but Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic could start after Chelsea continued their mini-overhaul with Michael Essien departing to AC Milan this week.

Chelsea head into the match in excellent form having won all six of their matches since Boxing Day and the Blues remain second favourites for the competition, which Mourinho himself lifted with Chelsea seven years ago.

Visitors Stoke have scored just one goal in their last five matches away from home and the anticipated increase in goalmouth action under new manager Mark Hughes still appears to be some way off.

The Potters could hand a debut to on-loan Manchester City striker John Guidetti to counter some of their attacking problems, but Stoke will have much to do having failed to score in any of their last six matches at Stamford Bridge in all competitions.

Chelsea carry an excellent record in this competition having lost just one of their last 31 matches in the FA Cup and Jose Mourinho’s evolving side should record another routine victory at home to Stoke on Sunday.
