Champions League Predictions – 5-6 November

Four winners from four selections was the return in our Champions League predictions two weeks ago, as wins for Napoli and Manchester United along with goals in the Arsenal v Borussia Dortmund match helped us secure significant profit from our free football betting tips.

Sportingly Better picks out the best UEFA Champions League predictions and football betting tips this week, as Viktoria Plzen host Bayern Munich.

Champions League Predictions

Viktoria Plzen (19.00) v Bayern Munich (1.16); Draw (8.50)

Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich travel to the Czech Republic on Tuesday, with the German side targeting a fourth successive win in Group D.

Die Roten‘s winning sequence in the Champions League stretches back eight games in the competition and after a 5-0 demolition in the return leg two weeks ago, Pep Guardiola’s side look poised for another easy victory against the Czech Republic champions on Tuesday.

Bayern Munich have scored three goals in every one of their games in Group D and although the likes of Claudio Pizarro, Thiago and Arjen Robben could all miss out, the German champions will be confident of firing at least another three goals past their Champions League opponents.

Bayern Munich have kept a clean sheet in six of their last eight games in the Champions League. Back ‘Yes’ for Bayern Munich to keep a clean sheet at 1.66.

Opponents Viktoria Plzen are without a win in Group D, with Pavel Vrba’s side all but set for a swift exit from Europe this year.

The hosts have conceded three goals in every one of their games in Group D so far and the visit of the UEFA Champions League holders is likely to extend that record further.

Plzen have no injury worries ahead of the game, whilst last weekend’s 6-1 victory against Jablonec is likely to leave Viktorka with at least some confidence.

Bayern Munich have scored 14 goals in their last four games in all competitions and the early handicap of over 2.5 goals in this match looks too good a price to miss this week.

Napoli (1.40) v Marseille (4.80); Draw (9.50)

Napoli host Marseille at the Stadio San Paolo on Wednesday, just two weeks after beating the French side 2-1 at the Stade Velodrome.

The Italian side go into Matchday 4 level on points with both Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal and with the two group rivals coming to blows at the Westfalenstadion, three points in a Naples is surely a must.

Napoli have won nine of their opening 11 games in Serie A to remain just three points behind near-perfectionists Roma, but it is success in Europe that the board have sounded out to new manager Rafa Benitez.

Opponents Marseille are without a point in Group F and defeat on Wednesday in Naples would all but condemn l’OM to European elimination.

Marseille have lost five of their last six matches in all competitions, but Jordan Ayew’s 16th minute equaliser did at least reserve a point in Ligue 1 for manager Elie Baup, whose position remains precarious.

L’OM have conceded at least two goals in each of their three matches in Group F so far and the form of Jose Callejon, Marek Hamsik and Gonzalo Higuain leaves every indication that Napoli could find the net at least twice this week.

With a trip to the Westfalenstadion and the visit of Premier League leaders Arsenal still to come, Serie A side Napoli will need to go all out for a win on Wednesday to maintain their chances of reaching the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League.
