Champions League Betting Tips – 20-21 October

A 3-0 win for Real Madrid and an away win for city rivals Atletico Madrid last weekend saw a 2.61 point profit return from both bets, as the pressure continued to mount on Real Sociedad manager David Moyes.

Tips from the UEFA Champions League ties in Croatia and Belarus on Tuesday provide the European football betting selections this week.

Champions League Betting Tips

BATE Borisov (11.00) v Barcelona (1.30); Draw (6.00)

It’s now eight matches since Barcelona last kept a clean sheet and after a 5-2 victory against Rayo Vallecano on the weekend, another highly-entertaining match looks likely in the Champions League this week.

The Neymar-inspired victory saw Luis Enrique’s side return to the top of La Liga, but the Catalan side are far from being in form on the road and have not picked up a win in three matches in all competitions.

Hosts BATE Borisov pulled off an impressive 3-2 victory in their last home match in Europe against Roma and the club’s two Champions League matches so far have produced a total of 10 goals.

Barcelona’s defensive problems show no signs of stopping and looking at the latest La Liga results here, more goals are likely to follow.

The form of Marc Andre Ter Stegen has come under question and the hosts are likely to score at least once on Tuesday.

Dinamo Zagreb (2.70) v Olympiakos (2.75); Draw (3.40)

Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb host Olympiakos in Group F this week and both sides have a real chance of progressing to the knockout stages having registered wins over Arsenal in their opening matches.

Dinamo Zagreb’s defeat to Bayern Munich last time out is the only time the home side have suffered defeat in their last 48 matches in all competitions and the latest soccer predictions on Matchstat suggest that the hosts are the side to beat.

Opponents Olympiakos have netted 17 times in five games since losing to Bayern Munich and with Dinamo Zagreb set to revert back to a highly-attacking 4-3-3 formation, expect the over 2.5 goals trend to continue in Group F this week.
