Capital One Cup Final Betting Preview

Liverpool (3.10) v Manchester City (2.25); Draw (3.40)

The 2016 Capital One Cup Final takes centre stage at Wembley this Sunday, as Jurgen Klopp looks to mark his first season in charge of Liverpool with a trophy.

A narrow 1-0 aggregate win over Augsburg in the Europa League gives the Reds another chance of potential silverware this season, but the Merseyside club will be encouraged by Manchester City’s indifferent form and hiding against Chelsea in the FA Cup recently.

Klopp hasn’t quite had it all his own way since arriving at the club, but one of the victories that lingers in the memory is a 4-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium back in November, with the manager having masterfully orchestrated that performance.

Opponents Manchester City have scored the most goals in the Capital One Cup so far with 18 goals, but summer signing Kevin De Bruyne who has scored five of those goals will be missing.

A good 3-1 victory in the Champions League away at Dynamo Kiev will have buoyed the Citizens, who have a massive step into the quarter finals of the competition, for the first time in their history.

Each of the last six meetings between the two sides has seen both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals scored and despite the lofty occasion, expect an open approach from both sides in the Capital One Cup final this weekend.
