Brazil v Germany – Football Betting Tips

Netherlands’ failure to dispatch Costa Rica in normal time meant we had to be content with a break even return during the quarter-final stages, as Brazil and Colombia both scored in our other featured football bet.

Sportingly Better takes a look at the best value football betting predictions ahead of today’s eagerly anticipated semi-final between Brazil and Germany.

World Cup Football Predictions

Brazil (2.70) v Germany (2.87); Draw (3.25)

Hosts Brazil will have to contend without superstar Neymar today, after the Barcelona forward sustained a back injury during the Selecao’s 2-1 victory over Colombia.

The South American side do however boast an impressive record against Germany having scored in each of their last 10 meetings, but Joachim Low has lowered his defensive line and removed Arsenal’s Per Mertesacker from the back.

Brazil will be without captain Thiago Silva at the back, but linchpin Luiz Gustavo does return to the midfield following suspension.

Brazil have lost none of their last six World Cup semi-finals, but the betting odds of 1.42 on the hosts to avoid defeat within 90 minutes is unlikely to attract much interest.

Opponents Germany became the first country to reach four successive World Cup semi-finals, after a 1-0 victory over France.

Joachim Low’s side have no new injury concerns going into the match and are looking to protect a run of 16 games without defeat.

Die Mannschaft have kept more clean sheets than any other side during the 2014 World Cup, but the expectations on the host to score could see Manuel Neuer’s rearguard concede on Tuesday.

Brazil will be without their captain and also their leading goalscorer going into today’s match in Belo Horizonte, but the hosts may be galvanised in Neymar’s absence and secure their place in Sunday’s final.
