Accumulator Tips – 26-27 September

Selections from the Premier League, Scottish Premiership and La Liga make up the legs in this week’s football accumulator on Sportingly Better.

Football Accumulator Betting Tips

Valencia (1.50) v Granada (6.50); Draw (3.30)

Valencia have struggled since the departure of Nicolas Otamendi to Manchester City having gained just six points from their opening five La Liga fixtures. However, defensively they’ve been solid despite the loss of their most influential defender as they’ve conceded just two goals so far but it is their fire power upfront that seems to be the problem.

Granada currently find themselves in the last relegation spot and have conceded the joint most goals in La Liga so far which potentially gives Valencia the chance to find their shooting boots. Granada have lost three games in succession whilst Valencia almost suffered the same record but managed a stalemate with Real Betis in-between defeats to Zenit St Petersburg and Espanyol.

Valencia have beaten Granada in the last four meetings between these two sides at the Mestalla and conceded just one goal in the process. Valencia look to be a good bet.

Southampton (2.05) v Swansea (4.20); Draw (3.05)

Southampton have started to turn up the heat as we approach the winter period. They were desperately unlucky to lose 3-2 to Manchester United last time out in the Premier League and smashed six past Championship side, MK Dons in the Capital One Cup midweek. There were braces for Jay Rodriguez, Sadio Mane and Shane Long and Graziano Pelle also scored two against Manchester United in their defeat so they have attacking options in incredibly good form.

Swansea were one of those involved in a upset in the 3rd round of the Capital One Cup after an away defeat to Hull City on Tuesday night. Gary Monk’s side have dropped off the high standards they had set in August and a trip down south will be a tough challenge. They haven’t scored in three games but can take confidence from the interesting statistic that the away side has won this fixture 1-0 in the past three meetings.

Ronald Koeman’s side will be full of confidence after their 6-0 thrashing and with Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle bang in form, they could well be the difference at St.Marys.

Inverness CT (4.20) v Aberdeen (1.85); Draw (3.60)

Aberdeen suffered a setback in the Scottish League Insurance Cup after a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Hibernian but their league form is immaculate having won eight from eight. A trip to 9th placed Inverness is next up for Derek McInnes side who will want to keep the five point gap over Celtic.

The visitors have conceded just three goals in the league and Adam Rooney has once again been the main man going forward, currently on six Scottish Premiership goals. Inverness’s top goal scorer is currently on two goals and their lack of a goal scorer has been the main reason why they have just seven points from eight games.

Inverness are unbeaten in their last four games but have lost the last four meetings against Aberdeen and look to be on their way to a fifth consecutive defeat.
