Accumulator Football Tips – 15-16 August

Selections from the Premier League, Bundesliga and Scottish Premiership make up the bets for this weekend’s football accumulator tips on Sportingly Better returning odds of 4.97.

Football Accumulator Betting Tips

Southampton (1.95) v Everton (3.75); Draw (3.50)

Everton have been dealt a massive blow with the injury to Leighton Baines who could face the rest of 2015 on the sidelines.

The Toffees had a poor start to the season with a 2-2 home draw against newly promoted Watford and it was in freakishly similar circumstances to two years ago, where Everton also drew 2-2 against a newly promoted side, with Ross Barkley firing in a screamer in both matches.

Southampton have looked good in pre-season and were unfortunate not to win at St.James Park last weekend.

Jay Rodriguez made his first start in league action since April 2014 and his return will be a massive boost to Ronald Koeman’s side.

Everton haven’t scored at Southampton in their past three visits and were comprehensively beaten 3-0 in this fixture last season and the hosts hold just about some value on Saturday.

Motherwell (5.00) v Aberdeen (1.70); Draw (3.60)

Aberdeen have been in ruthless form in the Scottish Premiership as they’ve won both games and haven’t conceded in the process.

They had a similar run during the course of last season going seven games without conceding and this year, the club will be looking to close the gap on Celtic’s usual dominance. Had it not been for defeats to Celtic and Dundee United in that spell at the end of 2014, Aberdeen would’ve won a staggering 11 games in a row without conceding in the process.

Hosts Motherwell have offered little in their opening two games to suggest they’ll avoid a repeat of last year’s struggles. Only a play-off victory against Rangers secured their position in the top tier of Scottish football. Motherwell lost all three matches to Aberdeen last season and the odds of a fourth consecutive head-to-head defeat look appealing.

Bayer Leverkusen (1.50) v Hoffenheim (6.50); Draw (4.33)

Leverkusen are notoriously fast starters and how visitors Hoffenheim will cope without Roberto Firmino remains to be seen.

The Liverpool forward was evidently missed in their shock first round defeat to 1860 Munich in the DFB Pokal, whilst Leverkusen progressed with a 3-0 victory at Lotte.

Kevin Volland too appears unsettled with all the transfer rumours surrounding the player’s future and should he depart, Hoffenheim could well face a struggle this season.

Hosts Leverkusen have managed to keep all of their star assets this year and the target of another top-four finish looks realistic. These two sides have met 14 occasions and staggeringly, Hoffenheim have won just once and also managed one draw. Leverkusen clearly like facing Hoffenheim and will be eager to start the season with a win against favourable opposition.
