Premier League Football Tips – 15-16 May

Aston Villa’s win at home to West Ham made it seven wins out of seven for our Premier League football bets, as West Brom’s draw at St James’ Park voided our other selection.

Stoke’s trip to recently-relegated Burnley and West Ham’s home match against Everton make up the football tips from this weekend’s Premier League action.

Premier League Football Tips

Burnley (2.62) v Stoke (2.75); Draw (3.25)

Sean Dyche will have been devastated that despite winning at Hull City, they were still condemned to relegation. Burnley’s last 5 games have all ended in the 1-0 score line and despite being on the winning end this time around, their failure to hit the back of the net regularly has cost them their Premier League status.

Just 27 goals in 36 games earns Burnley the title of lowest scorers in the league. They face a Stoke City side who are usually pretty efficient at keeping the ball out of their net themselves. Stoke were dealt a cruel blow with the injury to Bojan earlier in the season who is their most creative influence going forward. Victor Moses is also out with a hamstring injury so the likes of Mame Diouf, Jonathan Walters and Mauro Arnatovic have been left responsible.

Danny Ings will shoulder the responsibility upfront to provide the firepower and although he fired the winner against Hull City, but don’t expect goals to be in abundance at Turf Moor.

West Ham (2.90) v Everton (2.50); Draw (3.30)

These two sides entered holiday mode a few weeks back and have virtually coasted their way to the end of the season. West Ham started the season brilliantly but have gradually got worse. Everton meanwhile have endured a poor season and fallen way below expectations domestically despite reaching the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

West Ham have scored just 1 goal in 4 matches and that is largely down to the injuries sustained to Diafrou Sakho and Andy Carroll who remain sorely missed by Sam Allardyce. Enner Valencia will continue to play the lone front role with Kevin Nolan desperate to score his 100th Premier League goal.

Everton have lost back-to-back games against sides fighting for their lives which won’t have gone down well with Hull City who’ve now fallen into the relegation zone. Despite virtually having a full strength side to choose from, Everton have underperformed significantly and Ross Barkley could return to the starting XI to rejuvenate a lacklustre Everton side.

These two sides couldn’t be separated in 180 minutes of football in the FA Cup at the start of the year and a draw could very well be on the cards again.
